VDA-QMC is Certification Body of Automotive SPICE

Looking back to its first year of operation, VDA-QMC is very pleased with its success. The Automotive Industry in Germany has decided to require professional educated and certified assessors with tracked performance for their field of application. Other industries in Europe, America and Asia have shown their interest to follow this approach as well. Assessors who are working in this field or wanting to work their, can trust, that they choose a well recognized qualification scheme, when they follow the iNTACS programme. With March 1st, VDA-QMC has established its own operational office to serve AutomotiveSPICE® assessors directly.

iSQI goes for ISO 17024
(ISO certified person certification body)

The professionalism of a certification body is a main success factor of the operation of a person certification programme like iNTACS. The ISO has defined clear requirements for certification bodies. This includes to run a quality management system according to ISO 9001 and implementation of the requirements of ISO 17024. During a regular audit of iNTACS, iSQI has proven in an impressive way its progress to achieve full compliance to the above standards. The structure and the design of the intacs qualification scheme fits perfect into the needs of those standards. During this audit no uncompliances to those standards were identified. The reported observations are planned to be fixed during the year 2008.

Full seperate course line for AutomotiveSPICE®
In 2008 two course lines are defined within iNTACS. The first one you already know, is a general course line, which trains the assessors on ISO15504 Part 5 and gives a general introduction to other validated Process Assessment Models. Following the special requirements of the Automotive Industry, a second line was defined, training the participants based on AutomotiveSPICE®.

iNTACS was accepted by the German Automotive Industry
HIS (Software Initiative of the German Car Manufacturers) has accepted the three qualification levels defined in iNTACS (i.e. Provisional Assessor, Competent Assessor and Principal Assessor). It was accepted, that frequent performance proof is necessary to keep the qualification level.
